John Vincent Shrader is a yogi, author and visionary currently based in Pondicherry, South India. He teaches authentic spirituality through the methods of traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as taught by Pattabhi Jois and his grandson, Paramguru Sharath Jois, and contemplative traditions of the east, including Advaita Vedanta of Sri Ramana Maharishi and Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo. John has spent the last 15 years diving deep into the ancient art of yoga and meditation, understanding the sublime principles through his own inquiry. Having spent several years in both India and Japan, going to sacred pilgrimage sites and meditating in retreat centers and in the mountains and near the rivers of the Himalayas John infuses his teachings with years of authentic experience.

John has been an Ashtanga practitioner since 2002. He learned the method under many teachers around the world over the years but his style is most strongly influenced by David Garrigues experimental and deeply investigating synthesis. He has completed three 500 hour TTCs and spent countless hours in retreat and self study. Apart from Ashtanga John has spent time in Satsang absorbing deep wisdom from some of the most potent teachers in our time, including Sri Mooji, Sri Prem Baba, Shanti Mayi, Swami Atmananda Udasin, and numerous other potent teachers who guided his journey. He has absorbed ineffable gems of wisdom and his deepest passion is to share the incredible richness of the inner world with all who are curious.
